This early map of the City of Nauvoo was created in 1840 by Gustavis Hills. The map has been carefully reproduced and now full size copies are available in poster form. Brother Hills was paid for his service in creating this map by choosing one city lot as trade. He chose the lot of land across from the South - East corner of the Nauvoo Temple. The historic Zions Mercantile store is located on that very lot today.
